Reagan Drama Club Presents… The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
The 4th-6th grade students have been putting in a lot of work getting ready for the performance of “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.” If you are able to come support them, I would really appreciate it. I have been learning a lot and am continually impressed by our little actors. I hope you can make it and support performing arts in Kingsburg. Please pass the info on to any one. You could even print this out and put it up as a mini-flyer.

Kingsburg Santa Lucia Festival Christmas Village Celebration
December 6th, 2008
Place: Swedish Village
Attractions: Parade, Food, Gingerbread House Competition, Caroling, Arts and Crafts
The Festival of Lights Parade will begin at 5:30 P.M. on Draper St. Sip warm cider and devour Swedish ginger cookies as you enjoy the parade with friends and family.
Santa Lucia Day opens the Christmas season with the oldest daughter of the household adorning herself in a long white gown, red sash and a glowing crown of candles. She wakens the family members with the Lucia song and serving saffron buns and coffee at their bedside. The Swedish Village of Kingsburg has adopted this very special tradition. Kingsburg celebrates Santa Lucia Day on the first Saturday in December. The sidewalks of Draper Street will be filled with arts and crafts along with specialty home baked goods, gourmet items, and Swedish entrees. There is a Gingerbread House Competition at the library and the evening concludes with a Festival of Lights Parade. Source Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce

Jason Hurtado Memorial Blood Drive
The 2nd Annual Jason Hurtado Memorial Blood Drive will be held on December 6, 2008 in conjunction with the Central California Blood Center. Family and friends of Jason will be downtown to help coordinate the event from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This is also the same day the Santa Lucia Festival is held. The mobile blood center will be located somewhere along Draper and will not be hard to miss.
Anyone who would like to donate blood in honor of Jason Hurtado please come down. You will also be able to donate blood in memory of anyone so please come down and donate blood.
